hi Got a mailbox in exchange 2010 that is the sole owner (managed by) of a distribution Group. Also is the owner of a number of public folder and sub folders The user can manage the public folder and distribution group without an issue. For security reasons the user had got to be hidden, bare in mind that the user outllook 2007 profile has been created before hiding. So after hiding the mailbox, when the user now opens outlook (without issues), the user can not manage the distribution group or public folders Does any one know why, am i missing the fundamentals of exchange 2010 here Roy

Hi, What is the error when he try to manage distribution group or public folder? what's permission that you grant to the hidden mailbox? By the way, do that user migrated from Exchange 2007/2003 recently? Please try to use the cmmdlt below to see if it has mydistributiongroups role assigned.
